Filters that I am currently trying are:
There are many others in the sets that would only be used occasionally so it is a good idea to try before buy as they are fairly expensive. They do nothing more than Photoshop or Photoshop Elements can do, only make it a one or two click operation. If you get it right in the raw converter not much else for processing is necessary. The only plugin that I will probably buy is the perfect resize for printing as most pictures that I get ready to print do not have enough dpi to pint clearly at the size the club wants know (11x14). Even your camera and mine have just enough resolution to print at that size, any cropping and more pixels are needed for printing. These filters can be bought at substantial discounts if you keep your eyes open, most at half price. There were lots of specials for Black Friday and cyber Monday. Example – Photoshop Elements 11 was $59.95 all that weekend and should be again on special during Boxing Day. The club members should be on lookout for specials then send e-mail alerts to others if they want to purchase software. One thing I have learned on line is that half price is about what you will have to pay, patience is what is needed. All software is available on line and easy to get. I have been offered Photoshop at as low as $199 for full version in the past, but find that Elements will work for 99% of all my needs and it can be had for $60. Don |
